i was at a reptile expo here in indiana and really wanted a black and white ARGENTINIAN tegu.

i found a lizard that was labeled argentina black and white tegu. 35$ i couldn't beat that so i bought him.

turns out that after much research my tegu was not what i got.  i was duped into buying a colombian black tegu. looks almost identical to the argentines except one visual difference as a hatchling. the scale between the nostril and the eye on the side of its head. argentines have a seperation in that scale. colombians dont. mine didn't. so now i have a breed of tegu that is claimed to be untamable and doesnt get as big. well, i guess i am going to do the best i can and if there is no hope for taming then i know of a good reptile shelter down in bloomington, IN. next time i will buy from a REAL breeder.
