I hand feed the wild green anoles that live around our house. I usually feed them mealworms, the other day when I was feeding Tank, my Tegu, some superworms I got to wondering if one of the large male anoles would eat one. So I went outside to the corner of the house where he usually hangs out and there he was looking as handsome as ever. I named him Big Boy because he's well...a big boy lizard. Anyway, I held the end of the superworm between my index finger and thumb so it would wiggle back and forth (this usually gets the lizards attention). He sat there and stared at it for a few minutes- like he was thinking whether or not he should take on a worm that big. I had the camera in my left hand poised and ready to snap a pic as soon as he attempted to grab it. Well that sucker made a quick-as-lightning move and grabbed that superworm before I could even push the button on the camera!
