Ive kept tegus for many years and they always surprise me. I made a rat maze used for rats in psychological testing . the maze has a beginning and end and dead ends all to tegus found the way out everytime amazing Im doing more testing on intelligence. any suggestions are appreciated.

I'm not sure this constitutes intelligence, but my girl, Tank, has learned that when I'm going to bring her outside I always pick her up and put her on my shoulder. So now when I open her enclosure door and put my hand inside, she climbs up my arm and heads for my shoulder! Then she sits there patiently till we go outside!

that is intelligent and learned behavior conditioning psychologist call it. thanks for sharing your story .

I have been recording and taking notes, testing the Tegu intelligence level..I plan on sharing with all of you as soon as I put everything together....Some of you would be shocked at my findings..From a hatchling to an adult, all levels are being studied..
