How common is tegu breeding? Are some species easier to breed than others?

well many of the tegu breeders work with tupinambis merianae and rufescens. Bert Langerwerf was the largest breeder of tegus. I know johnny is the largest breeder of Reds. some work with Blue tegus hybrids and very few breed teguixin columbian tegu.
